Setting Up An Email Account: Thursday 11/3 at 9:00am. Set up your own e-mail account with Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo! Class size: 4.
Basic Internet Searching: Wednesday 10/19 at 7pm & Wednesday 10/26 at 9:30am. Learn how to search the Internet! Class size: 5
Note: We are always happy to sit down with a patron and help them sign up for an email account any time we can.
Facebook 101: Thursday 10/20 at 7pm. What is Facebook? A Facebook account is required. Class size: 10.
Facebook Privacy Settings: Thursday 10/27 at 12:00pm. Intermediate Facebook. A Facebook account is required. Class size: 10.
Basic Excel 2007: Tuesday, 10/25 at 7:00pm & Tuesday 11/15 at 1:30pm. Find out what a spreadsheet can do for you. Discover columns and rows, formulas, worksheet tabs, colors, gridlines. Class size: 10 Instructor: BK
Google Docs: Wednesday 10/26 at 7pm. Learn how to save documents and spreadsheets online, and be able to access your work from any computer at any time! An e-mail account is required. Class size:10
Basic Word 2007: Tuesday 11/1 at 7pm. & Wednesday 11/9 at 10am. Get to know "The Ribbon." Learn basic page layout, formatting, and editing, including fonts, spacing, bullets, and cutting/copying/pasting. Class size: 4  
Basic Publisher 2007: Thursday 11/10 at 7:00pm. Create  your own greeting cards, flyers, newsletters, booklets. Come find out how to get started on making your own publications. Learn about layout, graphics, templates, saving, printing. Class size: 10
Job Hunting 2.0: Thursday 10/20 & Thursday 11/10 at 12:00pm. Learn about job opportunity aggregators like Indeed and Simply Hired – building effective searches and saving as RSS feeds, setting up a Google Reader account and organizing RSS feeds, and using social media sites to market your personal brand/business. LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs, Facebook etc…to search the Internet! Class size: 10
Find That Book in our Koha Catalog: Wednesday  11/9 at 7pm & Friday 10/28 at 10am. Learn how to search our new library catalog. Class size: 3.
Using “My Account” in the Koha Catalog: Wednesday 11/2 at 7pm & Friday 11/18 at 10am. Learn how to use tags, lists, renew books and set your messaging preferences. Class size: 5.
ReQuest Interlibrary Loan: Tuesday 11/1 at 2pm  & Monday 11/7 at 7pm. Learn how to borrow books from other libraries on our statewide ReQuest interlibrary loan system. Class size: 2.
Downloading Ebooks on Nooks: Tuesday 11/1 at 9am. Learn how to download an eBook onto your B&N Nook or other compatible eReader. Class size: 10
Introduction to Wednesday 11/2 at 2pm. Use the library’s online databases to research your family history. Class size: 10.
Photo Sharing Sites: Thursday 11/3 at 7pm. Now that I have my pictures, how do I share them with family and friends? Class size: 10.
GIMP-Photo Editing: Thursday 11/17 at 12pm. Use this free Photoshop-like product to edit and retouch your photos. Class size: 10.
Social Couponing: Tuesday 11/15 at 7pm. Find our about popular couponing sites and how to use them.. Class size: 10.
Make a Christmas Card: Thursday, 11/17 at 7pm. Bring an electronic copy of a photo, a credit card and creativity and use an Internet site to create a Christmas card for 2011. Class size: 10.
Thursday 11/3 at 12pm. For the Mac owner who already knows his/her way around a Mac, but would like to learn some additional tricks and shortcuts that will enhance the usability of their Mac. In this class we will cover: Finding files faster and more efficiently; customizing the mouse and keyboard, including creating shortcuts; setting up “Hot Corners”; really erasing files from the computer; ejecting a DVD or CD that refuses to be ejected; forcing a program to quit when that wheel just won’t stop spinning; and finally, shutting your Mac down when it freezes. Class limit 4.
